Year to date option profits. Once I can get this to $100,000 a year than life gets on an easy mode. Very excited for the challenge

You want to know a secret that changed my mentality around money? Scenario: April 1st your portfolio was 100k and we went on this magical run where it climbed up to 140k as of yesterdays close. Then a day like today comes along and you happened to get stopped on all your positions and you are now sitting at 130k. Did you lose 7.14% today or is your portfolio up 30% in a month? Unrealized gains ARE NOT YOURS. They belong to the market! If you want to mitigate volatility, trim into extensions. But if you are going to stress out about every down day as if the money was yours on an open position, you'll never truly be able to scale up comfortably. Treat every new buy or sell based on it's individual price action. And stop looking at your portfolio value every evening as if the money on open positions belongs to you. Checking portfolio value every 10min only leads to emotional and sloppy execution when you look at the whole and not the individual parts. If stock A is still acting great then it shouldn't be sold just because you took a small loss on stock B. Exit stock B and continue to let stock A work for its own merits. The minute you start to make emotional decisions because of money is when you ruin your chances at real growth.

With the market ripping what are you BUYING?? I’m still adding $SPY biweekly with my 401K contributions. Other than that I’m defending covered calls and selling puts. I need to decide what I have most conviction in and start buying!!

@RealSimpleAriel I'll support your pickup if only to get my trousers dry from being under water on a few crypto positions.

- 400+ names in my universe are up 4% on the day. - 54% of stocks back above the 50sma - 5 and 10 day ratios are healthy and turning which signifies breath expansion. This will be great data to go back and study so we can find those frothy and oversold moments in the market just before turns. Not enough data yet but a few years of practice should do the trick. And one of the big reasons Mr. @PradeepBonde is so great with timing. This has been part of his daily process.

When looking at breadth today it might appear slightly deceiving. the gap down made it so far less names would finish 4% + today. The reality The market shook off an overnight gap as well as an 11% move in crude oil and is now in position to possibly give us a follow through day next week. A FTD on its own means nothing. But when you couple that with the Space theme, Memory, optics, semiconductors and possible bottoms forming in the software/crypto sectors. I am trying to remain optimistic about what we saw over the past 3 sessions. I will do the daily recap video tomorrow! Happy Easter!

@andrewhorowitz @TommyThornton The stats on my Tesla show 70% FSD. I only drive my car 30% of the time. I just sit there looking around, listening to The Disciplined Investor podcast, talking with whoever is in the car. Just another passenger almost 3/4th of the time.

@_TraderLarry I could never cut beer. Whiskey is very occasional. But hope the carbs keep at bay.

Continuing to cut back on carbs, so next I will cut out all beer drinking and replace it with whiskey.
