@RossonWyeRising @rivercide_live All new intensive rearing applications are assessed through planning by an ‘Appropriate Assessment’ under the HRA regs if in the Wye/Lugg catchment, no matter size. It is the Env Agency env permits that they often fall below threshold if < 40k birds, eg egg laying units often do.

Good to hear and conscious will be work going on behind the scenes that public are not aware of. Are we fining illegal discharges into the Wye and what do we do about the fact there are now too many chicken farms leading to phosphate time bomb as set out in @rivercide_live ?
