Meet Griff & Bran who recently joined our trading standards team searching for illegal goods to help keep us safe 🐶 They sniffed out hidden illegal tobacco, cigarettes & vapes 🔍 If you think a shop is selling illegal goods, report it to us: trading.standards@croydon.gov.uk

We worked with police dog Griff and @Kent_cc to seize more than 1,300 illegal vapes and 12,000 illegal cigarettes from a shop in #Deal this week. With partner agencies, we'll continue to interrupt the sale of illicit tobacco and vaping products, which can endanger the public.

It's a game of chess with the illegal goods sellers, but with trading standards & @BWYK9 on board Op Hunter, along with T3 @StMatthewsWMP, 17k dodgy cigs, + vapes were found. With Grand Master sniffer Griff & his mate Bran checking, the timer is running out for these (c)rooks!

Two day multi agency operation conducted in Swansea, large seizures of counterfeit and illicit tobacco, vapes and cigarettes seized. Concealments dismantled, cash and vehicles also seized. Working in partnership with @BWYK9 HMRC and Immigration.
