the big question is what does Nolan do AFTER the odyssey

there is a storm scene in The Odyssey that was so loud and intense it made me feel like i had personally offended Poseidon

First look at GM Connected in #NHL27 🔥

"NUCLEAR WAR…was...at the time, the scariest fucking book I had ever read in my entire life. Until I read BIOLOGICAL WAR. I am not fucking around here. Tread lightly with this one, book friends. This book broke my brain and rewired me in a way that I will NEVER be the same again." —Jordy, of Jordy's Book Club instagram.com/?hl=en Review on Insta: "I read Annie Jacobsen’s NUCLEAR WAR 3 years ago, and not a day has gone by where I haven’t thought about that book…shared an anecdote from it…referenced it in conversation…thought about it while trying to fall asleep at night. Probably because NUCLEAR WAR…was…at the time, the scariest fucking book I had ever read in my entire life. Until I read BIOLOGICAL WAR, Jacobsen’s latest edition of “how do I turn Jordy into a full blown insomniac?”. You think nuclear war is scary. let me introduce you to biological war. Jacobsen’s latest scenario is so stomach-churningly upsetting, in part because this book takes place primarily in my backyard of downtown Los Angeles and shows how quickly our infrastructure would collapse if ONE PERSON was infected by a genetically engineered pathogen, and how close we came to that collapse in 2020. I am not fucking around here. Tread lightly with this one, book friends. This book broke my brain and rewired me in a way that I will NEVER be the same again. There is “before” I read this book, and “after”. And I am changed as a result of what I read in Annie Jacobsen’s powerful, well-researched, and yes, terrifying (and maybe a tiny -TINY- bit entertaining) novel. This is also one of the most important books I’ve ever read, and I would consider it required reading if you can handle it. It will keep you up at night. It will have you hugging your friends and family a little tighter. It will have you prioritizing geopolitics a bit more. It will definitely have you washing your hands and questioning ever getting on an airplane again. Biological War comes out July 28th. Thanks to @duttonbooks for sending me this stunning (and terrifying) finished copy. RATING: 5/5"
