Austin shootings update: Law enforcement has cleared the area along FM 973 in Manor. One APD officer we spoke to said they feel like they’ve searched the area thoroughly and are confident the suspect is no longer in the area. It’s unclear what area that suspect had moved to but they still remain at large.

Video showing the FBI getting ready to breach an apartment unit in Del Valle, which had supposed ties to the Austin mass shooting investigation. This was taken yesterday at 11:25 AM. A terrifying moment in Georgetown as a car flipped in front of us as we were setting up for our live shot. Inside was a family and their 4 month old baby. My photographer and I helped the family to get the baby out of the vehicle. Thankfully everyone was ok and the baby was unharmed. We put them in our news vehicle to warm up as we waited for first responders to arrive. I beg of you please don’t get out on the roads if you’re in the path of this winter storm. Roadways are becoming worse by the minute and it’s almost never worth it. @fox7austin

Protesters at the Texas State Capitol say it’s been days since they’ve been in contact with their families in Iran due to the ongoing internet blackout. Hundreds gathered on Sunday to support the protests taking place across the country, with many telling me they have family and friends in Iran who are actively taking part in anti-regime demonstrations. Activists estimate that at least 544 people have been killed since the protests started two weeks ago. Another 10,600 are said to have been detained.

The Texas Education Agency says there's been 354 complaints against Texas teachers for supposedly making inappropriate online remarks about Charlie Kirk's assassination. 95 of those complaints are still open for investigation. This comes after a September letter sent out by TEA Commissioner, Mike Morath, which said that all "reprehensible and inappropriate" comments shared by teachers online about Kirk's death would be investigated. The @TexasAFT has now filed a federal lawsuit against the TEA after it says some of its teachers were disciplined, terminated from their jobs, and even received death threats from the public after their online posts were reported.
