This is patronising nonsense from the Prime Minister.
If he was more open with what he intended to do, and laid out how taxpayers money would be spent, this wouldn't be an issue.
Andy Burnham has a serious aversion to scrutiny, presumably from his time as Mayor when that wasn't really a challenge he faced.
Rather than moaning that he's finally facing some, he should deal with it head on and stop trying the Trumpian tactic of blaming the press.

Perhaps you should ask the shadow ministers who got ‘dumped’ by Keir’s team when we got into government whether I went and stood up for them to Keir’s team? I kept the receipts so maybe check the facts before accusing me of being undignified.

This quite undignified from Tulip. I understand that she and others are frustrated about the change but I don’t remember these comments when we first got into Gov and many who served in opposition we’re unceremoniously dumped to back benches and found out via social media!

This latest list showing sacked PPS’ makes me despair in particular because PPS-ing is not a glamorous job and so many of these MPs just got on with it, put in the hours and would have been an asset to any Labour government. Not to mention that the first black woman ever to be PPS to a Prime Minister was removed. (Happy to be corrected if she wasn’t the first but my point stands either way)

This is just the most gross, horrific, anti aspiration envy tax of the worst kind. It would also destroy the property market.
Based on average council tax payments over half of London homeowners would be worse off.
Nearly 20% of homeowners across the UK would be worse off
675000 homes would see their tax double to *at least* £5000 a year.
It penalises those in the South- not only have they already had to pay more for their home they’ll have paid Stamp Duty too. So it’s a higher tax and a repeat tax.
It would be @andyburnham ‘s poll tax moment. It’s actually more unfair than the poll tax.
