🎙️ Xavi Hernández says Barça were going to sign Lionel Messi after the 2022 World Cup.
🗣️ Xavi: "Leo Messi back to Barcelona was a done deal after that World Cup won by Argentina. It was done. We also had La Liga's green light and Messi wanted to return but Laporta stopped the signing.
Laporta told me Messi was gonna go against him and he couldn't allow that".

🇳🇴 With Bodeo/Glimts fantastic run in Eurpope, the Norwegian league is getting plenty of exposure and rightly so.
However, Norway have had their fair share of Forgotten Football Clubs as well.
Here are a select few that I have been looking at.
Feel free to add anymore in the comments
FK Arendal — A club from Arendal that competed in various divisions but is now defunct.
SK Bergen Sparta — From Bergen, part of the city's early football scene.
IL Bergkameratene — A multi-sport club where the football team no longer operates.
Bygdø BK — An Oslo-based club with historical presence.
Dæhlenengen SBK — Known in some lists as a former football entity.
SK Forward — Appears in defunct lists, sometimes associated with other sports too.
Årstad (defunct) — Listed among former top-flight participants in historical Eliteserien overviews.
Brage (defunct, Trondheim-based) — Not to be confused with active clubs; appears in old division records as no longer existing in that form.
Kapp (defunct) — From Østre Toten, noted in older league histories.
But probably the biggest club ti have become a Forgotten Football Club is Lyn 1896 FK (often called Lyn Oslo) — A former powerhouse that won the league in 1964 and 1968, plus Norwegian Cups in 1967 and 1968. They had European runs (including heavy defeats to Leeds and Tottenham) but faced major financial troubles and were declared bankrupt around 2010.
The club effectively ceased senior operations for a time and reformed at lower levels; it's sometimes referenced in "fallen giants" discussions, though a successor continues in lower divisions
Here is also a map of the current Norwegian clubs still playing. Drawn up by @RiccardoDAgnese, brilliant as usual 👏

🚨 Real Madrid are planning to bring back three youngsters at a bargain price using their buy-back clauses this summer:
🔸 Nico Paz — €9M
🇦🇷 Attacking-midfield (Como)
🔸 Chema Andrés — €10M
🇪🇸 Defensive-midfield (Stuttgart)
🔸 Jacobo Ramón — €8M
🇪🇸 Centre-back (Como)
They wish to reinforce the midfield and defence and these players are seen as affordable, low-risk options.
