It’s estimated that 1 in 13 people in London is an illegal immigrant. Let that sink in.

@TheJollyPatriot @AC96772343 @LibertyLydia The first major English slave-trading voyage is usually dated to 1562, led by John Hawkins. You do the maths. Regardless of dates, I’ve put forward a stronger argument while you’re arguing over semantics. Take the L quietly

@Marcus8g3q @AC96772343 @LibertyLydia Wrong, it started in the mid 17th century, ramped up in the 1660s-1690s, dominated the trade through the 18th century, and officially banned the slave trade in 1833. 150-170 years is correct. Making false claims shows you're losing the argument. One you can't win.

@TheJollyPatriot @AC96772343 @LibertyLydia Around 270 years, so using centuries is accurate. Pretty weak to use other atrocities to try and deflect. Signs of a losing argument lol. Greatness, whatever. Like I said, it did far more harm than good. This is widely accepted by folks more qualified than you in this topic.

@Marcus8g3q @AC96772343 @LibertyLydia No, we participated in the slave trade for around 150 years, not "centuries" The Arab/African slave trade lasted for around 1300 years. No Empire was perfect in it's actions but compared to others, it was the greatest Empire the world has ever seen.

@TheJollyPatriot @AC96772343 @LibertyLydia Britainabolished slavery in 1833 after centuries of running it.That’s like an arsonist getting credit for calling the fire brigade. And life expectancy rising? Not in Bengal during the 1943 famine. Not in Ireland1845.Not for the 3 million who starved while Britain exportedtheir food

@TheJollyPatriot @AC96772343 @LibertyLydia There are far more evidence that proves that the empire was bad for humanity than it was good. It wasn’t a charity, it was there to extract and exploit. This point is view is widely accepted by historians and economists alike.

@TheJollyPatriot @AC96772343 @LibertyLydia Interesting you didn't mention the ethnic cleansing of the the aborigines and the Maori's. You can’t use a single example and make a claim. You have to use many. Let’s take India, it accounted for 25% of the world’s economy before colonialism and 4% after.

@AC96772343 @LibertyLydia You’re projecting. The British Empire was a crime against humanity. It’s almost as if you’re worried that what happened in Australia, New Zealand, the Americas will happen in the UK. (Which isn’t the case btw)

@LibertyLydia An irrelevant stat really. Whether illegal or legal we are being ethnically replaced in our only home. Period. A literal crime against humanity.

Charlie Downes is an Englishman and as such he is not answerable to you.
Mayuran Senthilnathan 🇬🇧@MayuranSenthil

At some point @cfdownes_ is going to have to come up with something better than running down the clock, when it comes to stripping British citizenship. I am not criticising Charlie for his opinions (that’s another discussion), I am criticising him for not openly owning his position as a spokesperson of a political party.

@SoupVisual Well studies have done on this for last few decades and it has shown that on average immigrants have been net fiscal contributors, not net takers. Brexit was self inflicted. 2008 pretty much caused austerity. Weird angle you take, when the economic woes are many and complex.

I would sooner live in poverty than see my children grow up as a minority in their own homeland. Not that we would need to, by the way, as reversing mass immigration would be nothing but a good thing for Britain’s economy.

@SoupVisual Hmmm, the last 10 years, Brexit, 2008 financial crisis, aging population, energy price increases due to foreign wars.

Do immigrants improve the economy? We've had a stagnant economy for almost 20 years and is entering recession at the same time we've had the highest immigration both legal and illegal. Where is this good Economy?

@LibertyLydia Okay to give back Australia and New Zealand back to the natives and allow them to live alone in their ancestral homeland?

I’d rather live in a stick hut in the woods, hunt for my food, and draw water by hand than watch my people become an ethnic minority in our ancestral homeland.

@glosterpatriot The audacity to claim there is an ethnic genocide (when there isn't one) in Britain, considering the mass genocides and famines the British Empire have committed.
