Really like Mateus Fernandes in West Ham, good cameo yesterday and should be a given in Nuno’s Xl going forward. Well above average in terms of ball carrying, box crashing and defensive contribution last season in Southampton. Will be similar for West Ham if given minutes.

Yanis Massolin from Modena to Inter is my favorite January transfer 2026. Unicorn profile of an attacking midfielder at 197 cm, but still an incredibly agile guy who's a brilliant ball-carrier/dribbler and superb creator.
(On loan back to Modena the remainder of 25/26 though)

Rayan is interesting but a tier below the elite level talent Brazil produce, so the fee should be thereafter (~€45m could be considered elite level benchmark based on historical transfers, e.g. Estêvão, Endrick, Rodrygo). Shouldn’t go for more than €30m.

@MarcusBr22 A standout. As you might or might not know, I'm not super into rating CBs on possession or passing as long as they do their main job. One to watch for sure, even though I'm not entirely sure Chelsea is the maw he should be falling into.

*The* young CB to get. Won’t be cheap, but probably worth it for whatever buying club. His physical profile is as good as it gets. Strong in duels, strong in the air, can cover ground and so on. Not sensational in possession but far from bad either.

@MarcusBr22 I’m not sure if I think it’s worth it for Chelsea, seems a bit redundant since they have four/five top potential CBs in their ranks all 22 or younger. If anything they should get a teacher not another student.
