When it does not, you cancel the election, back a coup, fund the opposition, impose sanctions, and call the government that the people actually chose a "dictatorship." Vietnam exposed this logic completely. Not with arguments. With history. With the receipts.

First comes the national humiliation, then it's dialectical opposite, muscular nationalism, then war. That is the Japanese way.

Can we imagine bigotry in heaven? Can we imagine poverty in heaven? Then why do we tolerate these things on earth?” That’s how you respond. Not with insults. Not with fear.
