Labor has quietly pushed through another layer of red tape that will hurt Australian jobs and industry.
This new UN-linked law gives governments more power to block projects, even ones nowhere near the ocean, based on vague environmental claims.
We’ve already seen activists try to shut down major projects from thousands of kilometres away. This will make it even easier.
More red tape. Fewer jobs. Slower economy.

WARNING: Labor is moving to phase out cash.
Cash still matters. It matters in regional communities, it matters across key industries, and it matters for older Australians who rely on it every day.
A cashless society isn’t progress if it leaves people behind. Cash must remain a choice, not something quietly taken away.
We should be protecting it, as One Nation is doing, not phasing it out. The Senate will vote on One Nation Senator Malcolm Roberts’ motion on Tuesday.
If the motion is successful, the government will be forced back to the drawing board to come up with something that properly protects the right to use cash.
