Pro tip: Respond to every email within 30 minutes of reading it. Just do it. Even if you’re asked a question and you don’t know the answer, just say “I don’t know. I’ll work on getting an answer.” But just say SOMETHING . Your friends and work colleagues will appreciate this.

@TedStarkey Smart take. The players seem pretty emotionally gutted by it, perhaps more than anticipated. However much Carlson has meant to Caps fans over the years, you can tell he means even more to his teammates. Shipping out a salt-of-the earth guy like him certainly carries some risk.

While the Carlson trade makes sense from a purely hockey sense, it brings a lot of risk in disrupting team chemistry and potentially rushing Hutson. Can’t have a Rangers situation develop where players don’t believe in the GM.

@granthpaulsen I'm sad to see Carlson go, but it was the right move, given his age and injury propensity. And it was a bigger return than I would've expected, so that's also a plus. Caps could conceivable sign him again in free agency, but probably won't due to the price point.

Boatload of picks. Lots of money being freed up to spend this offseason. Even more cash to throw around If Ovi skates off into the sunset. And a solid young core of talent at the NHL level.

Evangelicals like novel terms like "theobros" and "edgelords." But these are unnecessary, often counter productive.
For instance, "theobros" is hurled at men who are accused of not representing God (theos) and of not being brotherly.
Rather than these, try a biblical term.

@MarcusGlover 100% agree. I was more taking a shot at UNC fans as they put an asterisk next to their loss to State since they were down two of their best players.
