@BlakeUnit And surely usually cinemas are built by private companies not the public? 🫨

@MarcusNovius Agreed - The consultation's wording was heavily loaded towards the developers too - "do you want a cinema ?" "Ooh yes please" said most people. The question "Do you want £68m debt that comes with said cinema" didn't make the final draft so on paper, most are is in favour.

@Photopaulgriff @SkyNews Working from home removes commuting time which can be spent socialising :) However the ideal is freedom to choose. I wfh and go in the office once of twice a week. Its the forced part I wouldnt like

@MarcusNovius @SkyNews Do what you want but don’t expect everybody to want to sit at home all day on their own staring at a computer screen. Tech has changed yes, but humans have not, some of us still need and really like interaction with others face to face and a change of scenery.

@MarcusNovius Given the wording of the question I am mostly a No, but if there is an option of just one screen as that's all that's needed plus minimises the losses in case of failure, and also putting it somewhere other than the snooker club, then possibly a Yes.

@Photopaulgriff @SkyNews Big time. But life is short, we have amazing technologies so should use them instead of going backwards.

New data shows California remains THE TOP STATE IN AMERICA FOR TOURISM — with a record $158.9 BILLION in economic activity in 2025. This remarkable success is a proof point of our resilience against the international tourism downturn that Donald Trump has caused.

@Photopaulgriff @SkyNews Having an easier life shouldn't be a bad thing. Work is an activity not a location so it annoys me taking my laptop to an office 🤣🤣🤣
