12 months is silly. If everyone loses their jobs who will buy the goods companies make? If the economy is cooking and the social contract breaks government has to take care of people with some sort of ubi. These "sky is falling" posts are logic swiss cheese and embarrassing.

A Dunkin franchise is truly a thing of beauty. A single teenager, stoned out of his mind, can run a store, all by themselves, and the product still rocks. It's incredible.

There is only two kinds of people in the world of software. Those Agent Washing. Those Agent Gating.

If AI Agents are as big as they seem to be knowledge workers should demand a share of the productivity. It's such a good opportunity to allow people to invest in their families, hobbies, physical and mental health, vs being in front of a screen all day.

We should demand that companies split the benefits. If AI Agents can 10x a persons output, why not give half of that benefit back to the worker? A 4 day work week, better yet a workday that ends at 3. That's what we need.

If AI Agents really do eliminate jobs and allow a single employee to do the work of 10. We shouldn't let all the benefit go to companies. This is a future of work idea Thread:

@iamalexbirkett I struggle with this too, but as long as you don't become "one of them" them I think it's fine. But who knows maybe I'm already a linkedin lunatic.

@iamalexbirkett So you're too cool to post on Linkedin? .... I agree 90% of the content is cringe and it's hard to see all that and still engage. But if smart people aren't trying to share stuff that is interesting and good - it'll never change.

I'm aware that posting on LinkedIn can be great for my business. But here's the hurdle I can never overcome: it's lame as f*ck. I once wrote an essay about conquering your cringe to be successful. But there's something just so innately cheesy about being a LI influencer.
