I’m back at my desk in Brussels today, preparing for a busy week ahead. But I wanted to send you a message of appreciation - your love and support has not gone unnoticed - following my pregnancy announcement yesterday.

Congratulations to my colleague Deputy @SeanKyneGalway on his by-election success yesterday for Galway West. Over 20 years of community service as a Councillor, a Senator, T.D. and Minister was reflected in his vote. A great campaign in Galway West over the last few months.

I welcome the Commission’s commitment to support Member States in banning these harmful practices and advancing protections for LGBTQ+ communities across Europe. 3/3

Conversion practices are harmful, discriminatory, and have no place in a Union built on equality, dignity, and human rights. Every LGBTQ+ person deserves to live freely, openly, and authentically without fear, coercion, or shame. 2/3

I want to thank Brendan O'Connor and his team at @RTERadio1 for allowing me to share my lived experience of an IVF journey as a single woman, so that it might give space and recognition to others on a similar path.

I think it's now time we have a conversation to change this.

Going through this process on my own hasn’t always been easy but I want to show other women that it is possible. Families in Ireland today come in many different forms which isn’t always reflected in our media or politics.

My very first file in the Regional Development Committe @EP_Regional was adopted today with 30 votes in favour out of 33! The file I negotiated on behalf of @EPPGroup concerns the EU Coordination programme in case of climate & health disasters (EU Civil Protection Mechanism).
