@Maria_Lacey1 @LloydCymru Did most of the tourist attractions. Just wasn’t a huge fan of the city overall. I generally prefer southern European cities. Mind you, it was more than 20yrs since I was last in Amsterdam so maybe I need to give it another go!

For those of you who have travelled places… Where is the most disappointing place you’ve ever been? A place you had high hopes for but came out feeling underwhelmed or downright depressed? I’ll start. Brussels, Belgium.

@Breen @LloydCymru Oh yes...agree with you about Bucharest...The city centre had nothing of note with the exception of the old town. We swiftly moved to Constanta by the black sea... beautiful place.

@LloydCymru I really enjoyed Brussells. Hmm, I wasn't too enamoured with Bucharest. I dislike London, but it wasn't a disappointment, I expected to dislike London.

@cazzrhughes @LloydCymru Likewise! Felt like I was a rat in a tunnel walking through those narrow streets. Murano and Burrano (islands off Venice) way nicer!

@cookea541 @LloydCymru Agree! Beaches were nothing like the pictures and the town itself was a bit nondescript.

@LloydCymru I actually really liked Brussels and it was a great springboard to visit Bruges, Ypres etc

@PhilJones33 @LloydCymru I loved Amsterdam! Did you do the canal cruise, Anne Frank's house, Van Gogh museum, The Adam Lookout and This is Holland history/rollercoaster... It was an amazing weekend!

@LloydCymru Aside from Bangkok being a place to avoid, I’d add Amsterdam as a city that is very overrated. I really liked Trogir and Split but overall I wouldn’t race back to Croatia.

@Harry_Palmer1 Totally agree, Harry..I'm also just astonished that Irish people would spend that kind of money on a bar of chocolate. It's a bit like that Prime drink that was a fad a while back. We really have to wise up as a society and get our priorities right.

@Maria_Lacey1 That's depressing. Belgian or Swiss chocolate isn't covered in oppression.

I saw a sign in a shop window in #Kilkenny today, advertising #dubaichocolate and I thought what is this all about? Shopkeeper informed me that it's the current trend and retailing at €15 a bar. It's pistachio chocolate imported from Dubai. Really? Is this even a thing?
