Is the BBC really worth the current licence fee never mind the coming increase ? It really is outrageous that in 2026 we cannot choose to watch other channels who get their funding from advertising without having to pay the BBC. It really is time to @DefundBBC

@DeborahMeaden @Richard89022768 We don't have to buy or eat chlorinated chicken. We have choices.
English

@Richard89022768 That’s good so they will remove that clause and the chlorinated chicken from the negotiating table as it’s of no importance to them. Our Farmers will be relieved.

Some kind of serious disconnect here… either he knew but didn’t care or simply ignored the constantly repeated fact that we would be forced to drop standards for a US deal when Lowe supported Brexit… night follows day it was so bleeding obvious!!
Rupert Lowe MP@RupertLowe10
British farmers must not be undercut and bankrupt by foreign slop that doesn't meet the same high standards our own producers must achieve. I want a fair deal, and a fair chance, for British farmers.

I wasn’t into Enid Blyton as a child but my daughter has read a couple and has put “more Enid Blyton books” on her Christmas list.
I was thinking one of the series (Famous Five, Secret Seven, Mallory Towers etc) would be great but any recommendations as to which series a primary aged girl might enjoy most?

@mikey2659 @thecarolemalone As a business owner, vat is paid at the end of each quarter. As the conference was only last month, I assume that its probably not due yet .
English

@thecarolemalone Not calling out Farage for house in Clacton? or Reform dodging VAT ?

The pair of you are a disgrace. And your obvious campaign to bring a cheat back into Government shames you.

Honoured to be in the Chamber for a brilliant statement by my friend, Angela Rayner. She is and will remain an inspiration across our movement.

@JonathanWiltsh7 @Chainsaw1912 @afneil We have had scrubbed coal since the 70s produces less carbon and has little carbon footprint print compared with shipping energy around the world. Makes more sense to be self sufficient.
English

@Chainsaw1912 @afneil Coal is one of the most expensive and highest polluting fuels on the planet.

This is deranged. Despite tens of billions invested in solar and wind there are only about 40,000 jobs in both sectors combined. Given the subsidies involved, each one at a cost of over £200,000, which is unsustainable.
The result is the most expensive industrial electricity costs in the world, which has destroyed far more jobs than expensive renewables have created. The claim that there’s a cornucopia of big salaried green jobs is a myth of the net zero zealots.

@AntSpeaks I saw the news at 10-45 this morning it was on there then
English

🚨BREAKING: Terrorists have stormed a weapons factory in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom.
The group calling itself Palestine Martyrs for Justice, an offshoot of Palestine Action, broke into the facility in the early hours of this morning and are reportedly occupying the site.
Source: GB News
This is an outrageous situation. The authorities cannot afford to drag their feet. They need to act with lethal force if it comes to that, to take back control.

Can anybody in the UK mainstream media tell me why, when Rachel Reeves called Liz Truss an economic “arsonist” and the 30 year guilt yield was 5.1%, the media had a total meltdown … yet today the yield is 5.6%, has consistently been higher than it was under Truss while much of the media is suspiciously quiet about what is happening to our enormous pile of debt and the cost of servicing it? Can anybody explain why the reactions are so different?

Proud to support the Mayor of London in delivering this bold and ambitious vision to breathe new life into Oxford Street.
We want to see it thrive - for tourists and Londoners alike.

🔴 Rumours are RAGING across Westminster…
Multiple sources suggest PM Sir Keir Starmer has “had enough” and may be preparing to walk away.

@dave43law @LeeAndersonMP_ Sorry thought you were sticking up for labour lol 🤣
English

@dave43law @LeeAndersonMP_ Ist that about the same as the general election that liebour won 🤔
English

@richiw37 @juneslater17 @reformparty_uk I have said the same, see how they perform at council level, as this will be a test for a general election
English

I’ve had some huge concerns about reform since the Rupert low issues recently. It has really dented my confidence in them but now I’m thinking that with so many seats won in the local elections, if they implement these DOGE style changes then it will give the British electorate confidence to vote accordingly in the proper general election in 2029.
English

Doge has already started at council level ..with @reformparty_uk , sending off 3000 FREEDOM of INFORMATION REQUESTS about council spending..
This will impact on the central government initiatives to incentify councils to follow ridiculous schemes.
No matter how the media try to play this down , this has been an historical event.
Nigel Farage has been totally focused on these council elections and it's truly paid off.
Control of ten councils, and more councillors scattered across the country
The Tories hemorrhaged support as Labour got a real shock
You are witnessing the breakdown of the two party system.
English

@colin_sowter @juneslater17 @reformparty_uk I'm sorry but transparency should be a given, you shouldn't have to ask for it!
English

@juneslater17 @reformparty_uk Are you aware of how much a freedom of information request costs to process? That we the taxpayer has to pay for? Do you understand how much it will cost to hire accountants to do a “doge”.. that we the taxpayer will have to pay for?
English

Since Blair in 1997 - the system has become more powerful and has been captured by leftist, globalist ideology (pro-migration, Net Zero, Keynsian economics). They believe in managed decline of Britain and the West.
There are voters who agree with this and Labour are now their party (the Lib Dems more so). The Greens and Separatists are fighting for even more nutty woke, environmentalist, Islamist policies.
The only path for Conservative success (and the right path for Britain) is to take on the system - everything from the unaccountable judiciary to the Bank of England, the OBR, the HRA, the Equality Act and most of all the unelected state who actually run Britain.
But Conservatives are still not addressing the failure to do this in 14 years of government (with the exception of Brexit).
That is why support is haemorrhaging.
English

@gazcon @rapson_head @trussliz @2tweetaboutit Let's just say if the bank of England had done their job properly and she had taken a slower approach, then this country would be flying now. But no, disbelievers don't do research just follow the woke, be it the BBC or main steam media. Go do some research for yourself.
English

Oh please. Truss pushed every globalist agenda going when it suited her, and now the wind's changed she's reinvented herself as a pound shop Thatcher. Those are the facts. Both about her specifically and the Tories generally, of which she is the quintessential, self-serving, principle-free example. If you choose to believe the spin instead of the real world track record then don't be surprised when you're disappointed.
English

@Polymarket Carney was in charge of our bank of England, not sure I would want him running our country. 🤦🤷
English

@Jenny_1884 @RupertLowe10 @Keir_Starmer Nature takes care of it self, reap what you sow and god help the consequences
English

@Jenny_1884 @RupertLowe10 @Keir_Starmer I have seen a lot about it, but why would you put solar panels on lush growing land then dim the sun, make it make sense.
English

Why hasn’t any politician apart from @RupertLowe10 mentioned a single thing about @Keir_Starmer planning to dim the sun in the UK?
Where is their outrage 🤔
Why have they not spoken out 🤔
Anyone else find this worrying?
