Picturing Science for Children

On #WorldBookDay a booklet about a film about books that also has a place in television history! In 1936 the National Book Council funded a film about books and reading as the general public “should learn something of the service which the book trade performs for the community”.

An exhibition of the work at the House of Illustration @illustrationHQ London attracted over 10,000 visitors. It inspired the gallery to run children’s workshops and a symposium, Women in Print. A digital version of the exhibition will extend its reach further. #UoRImpact
