This is Tyre in South Lebanon today. Israel is leveling entire civilian neighborhoods in one of the most intense bombardments yet. One of humanity’s oldest cities. Is being systematically wiped out. And not a peep from the complicit international community, of course.

💢 Lebanese journalist Hadi Hoteit says Israeli attacks across southern Lebanon on May 22 killed at least seven paramedics in less than 24 hours, describing it as “one of the ugliest massacres” targeting rescue teams since the escalation began. Hoteit said multiple Israeli “double tap” strikes hit paramedics while they were responding to earlier attacks in towns across the Tyre and Nabatieh regions, including Hanouiyeh and Deir Qanoun al-Nahr. Among those killed was Ahmad Hariri, a paramedic and photojournalist who documented rescue operations in southern Lebanon. By mid-afternoon, Hoteit said more than 12 people had been killed since morning, including a Syrian refugee family struck by a drone attack and at least one child. He also described intensifying fighting on the ground, saying Hezbollah fighters were using precision-guided attacks and fiber-optic drones to target Israeli troops, commanders, bulldozers, and armored vehicles attempting to advance deeper into southern Lebanon. According to Hoteit, the fighting has slowed Israeli attempts to push toward the Litani River despite continued airstrikes and widespread destruction in border areas.

It is with great sadness that I have to report that Ahmed Hariri, a beloved journalist, paramedic and friend was killed today while carrying out his humanitarian duty attempting to rescue the injured from an Israeli airstrike. He was killed in a barbaric triple-tap attack in Deir Qanoun. Ahmed was a a gentle soul, and natural helper and brilliant photographer who poignantly documented the lives and deaths of his fellow paramedics. Ahmed was loved and his memory will be a blessing to all of us who knew him. In this carousel of photos you’ll see the last text message to the local journalist group chat reporting to us the news from Deir Qanoun before he himself became the news. Israel systematically target and kills medical professionals and journalists. These are acts of genocide.

Israel executed Hadi, Ali, and Moussa today in Deb’al, South Lebanon. Not fighters. Not armed. Three paramedics on the front lines — assassinated while saving lives.

Apocalyptic scenes from Tyre this afternoon. Terrified children emerging through smoke & rubble after another vicious wave of Israeli strikes hit residential neighbourhoods. Homes shattered. Streets buried in debris. Families running through clouds of dust carrying children in their arms. The areas struck are well-known civilian residential districts. And still this is all cynically packaged and justified as targeting “Hezbollah infrastructure.”

Everyone should read what the Israeli military did to journalist Amal Khalil today in this minute-by-minute account as the international community watched in horror. First the text messages threatening her then trapping her and a photographer in a house then bombing them then firing on international rescue crews, all with the world watching in real time. There are no words left for the horrors that U.S. political leaders are enabling.

🚨BREAKING🚨Israeli forces are now issuing direct death threats to Lebanese journalists on WhatsApp as well as besieging them. Al-Akhbar correspondent @AmalKhalil83, who has been documenting the devastation across southern Lebanon, received these messages from an Israeli number (+972 54-869-5113): “We know where you are… we will reach you… leave if you want to keep your head on your shoulders.” First message: “Alright, my lady, you are moving from one village to another, but you still haven’t gone to enough funerals or hospitals. There is a lot of grief & sorrow behind that smile you try to show on Twitter. Let’s see what your answer will be… Is your house still standing, Anisa (Miss)? I hope so?” Second message: “We know where you are & we will reach you when the time comes. Even though you are not important to us, in the end we will take everything into account. I suggest you flee to Qatar or somewhere else if you want to keep your head connected to your shoulders :)” This is not intimidation. This is the IDF issuing an explicit death threat to a journalist for covering their crimes. At the same time, Israeli forces besieged Amal al-Khalil & journalist Zeinab Faraj in al-Tayri, blocking the Red Cross & Lebanese Army from reaching them. They were in a delegate vehicle when a drone strike hit a vehicle behind them, killing two people. Both journalists were trapped at the scene. Amal contacted the Red Cross before her phone died. Her last message confirmed she was still safe. Rescue teams still cannot reach the two besieged journalists, Amal al-Khalil & Zeinab Faraj. They are just 500 meters away, but the road has been cut off by an Israeli strike, according to Red Cross paramedics. This is targeting journalists in real time. This is a crime. Pure state terrorism against the press.

A Jesus statue vandalized by Israeli soldiers has been treated with more solemnity and contrition than any IDF massacre of real human beings over the past three years. This is happening because Israel knows its American support base of Christian Zionists will care more about the statue than all of the IDF's attacks on Palestinian, Lebanese and Iranian human beings combined since 2023.

A day of ordinary terror in the West Bank (where there is no Hamas or Hezbollah): Israeli settlers killed 3 people including a child after shooting at a school full of children. Israeli army came to protect the settlers. #StopTradeWithIsrael x.com/DropSiteNews/s…
Drop Site@DropSiteNews

💢 BREAKING | Israeli settlers shoot dead a 14-year-old student and a 32-year-old man at a West Bank school, with Israeli forces providing protection Israeli settlers opened fire on Al-Mughair Boys School in the village of Al-Mughayyir, east of Ramallah, on Tuesday afternoon, killing a 14-year-old student, Aws Hamdi Al-Naasan, and a 32-year-old man, Jihad Marzouq Abu Naim, and wounding three others with live bullets, according to the Palestinian news agency WAFA and the Ministry of Health. A paramedic at the scene said at least three settlers deliberately fired at children attempting to escape from classrooms from a position approximately 50 meters away, with a level of accuracy he described as close to sniping. An eyewitness said shooting was directed at classroom windows and balconies still full of children as residents attempted to evacuate the school by crawling. Israeli forces arrived during the attack and, according to witnesses, provided protection to the settlers rather than stopping them. A 63-year-old man, Attallah Abu Aliya, said he was shot in the leg by an Israeli soldier without warning as he walked toward the school after hearing it was under attack. Their deaths bring the West Bank toll to four killed on Tuesday alone, after a 16-year-old boy was run over by a settler's vehicle in Hebron and a 49-year-old woman died from injuries sustained in an Israeli army shooting in Jenin.

@neledgomez Please. lol. The entire creation of Israel is premised on dispossessing people of their land. Of course they're going to resist. Hezbollah exists only because of the Israel invasion and occupation of South Lebanon in 1978.

How can we still live in a world where Israel is allowed to murder hundreds of people, at least 250, — with 100 bombs dropped in 10 minutes across Lebanon — and there is not a single word of condemnation from Western government? How can we live with such abomination?
