@nataliefoster @GivingSide Much appreciated, Natalie. With our first significant amount of funding support from Kellogg, we hope to to be able to build it out a bit more. Thanks for all that you do, always.

@cyndisuarez A beautiful dissolution of foundations. Redistribution b/c capital shouldn’t be one’s currency to belonging. Spending down to come back to being in communion with communities and movements … because extreme wealth isolates and creates distance between us.

Things that keep me up at night include the ways giving platforms are replacing the role organizers and civic homes have historically played in guiding and shaping people's civic & political journeys. And, how few discussion there is about this. @justicefunders @GivingSide

As we talk about how we measure impact, I hope that we focus on how the incentives we're creating might differ from the ones we need to transform the world, as well as who is measuring + possible unintended impact on those being measured. @Mariobasa givingtuesday.org/givingtuesdays…

"Impact measurement can help us reflect and improve ourselves, but how do we grapple with the fact that this work is being driven most often by philanthropy to solve problems that are uniquely philanthropy's problems." @mariobasa givingtuesday.org/givingtuesdays…

@mariobasa @justicefunders @GivingSide Yes. The ever-increasing growth of technology intermediaries and the desire to be frictionless contribute to the weakening of our civic muscles. Community needs a human touch. Purposeful friction is good. Tech can supplement but not replace.
