A comrade gave me this, a pamphlet done by Libyan students in remembrance of the 10 patriots who died on Hunger strike. It contains a speech by Gaddafi in the UN and a quote from his greenbook.

#Scotland — The Celtic supporters group Green Brigade shared banners they have displayed for Bobby Sands over the last 20 years and posted a tribute in memory of Sands on the anniversary of his death: “Bobby Sands is a constant source of inspiration and pride for the Green Brigade and many Celtic supporters. As well as singing his name at every match, there have been various tributes and reference points to Bobby over the years to ensure his memory and example is passed down to future generations of Celtic supporters despite harsh attempts to stop this. ‘Never will they label our liberation struggle as criminal.’ On his 45th anniversary, we remember Bobby with pride.”

On this day 1981 Óglach Bobby Sands died after 66 days on hunger strike. His writings and sacrifice made an impact on Irish republicans ever since. “I may die, but the Republic of 1916 will never die. Onward to the Republic and liberation of our people.”

Bobby Sands in happier times. Gone, certainly not forgotten. Our revenge will be the laughter of our children.

45 yrs ago today Bobby Sands inspired people around the world in his courageous fight for political status making the ultimate sacrifice for Irish freedom. "They have nothing in their whole imperial arsenal that can break the spirit of one Irishman who doesn't want to be broken".

Today marks the anniversary of the death of IRA volunteer #BobbySands. If you haven’t watched Hunger (2008), directed by Steve McQueen, you should definitely watch it. The movie tells the story of Bobby Sands and his comrades resisting torture in prison and their hunger strike process.
