@a_m_drizzle @itsjustgross @Trackmania I play the game since 21 years, these definitions are community-made. Just mapstyles that evolved over the years. The gear can be figured out at the back of the car. Gears also follow certain speed intervals.

@Marius89TM @itsjustgross @Trackmania Thank you. 🙂 How did you come to learn this? Does Ubisoft have this posted somewhere as a reference? Also, how do you know what gear you’re in? That must be visible in the UI on PC? I play on PS4 and don’t think I’ve ever seen that.

@a_m_drizzle @itsjustgross @Trackmania the fastest way through the corners is done by drifting, which you use the brake button for. Also it's low speed in those drifts (I guess it was gear 3 mainly), this defines a Tech map

@SRK__LV I mean, I can imagine it's not an easy time for recruiters. If i was completely new to the game and saw this, i'd have likely put Kacky inside the same box as XPEvo at a first glance. Also notice how campaigns are highlighted :D

Titles in trackmania would be cool. Tmwt placement up to top 16 or so. "x" lan or big tournament winner/finalists. Campaign/weekly shorts/matchmaking top 1 up to top 1000 with scaling titles 1000/100/10/5/3/2/1. Cotd winner title for all divs etc... I think this would be great.

He's absolutely right, most of these forced high precision sections with next to none margin of error room serve no other purpose than punish you 10x more than normal for messing up the line which I bet is sort of tilting and unfun for most of the players

I might be overreacting but what is the reason to have tight sections like these in comp maps ever. Theyre just punishing with little to no time gain possible - just survive :D like it doenst make the map more difficult, just more punishing.
