Nadia Whittome wants to establish safe and legal routes for Eritrean and Sudanese asylum seekers, and fast track their asylum applications. My question is simple: Why? What value does this bring to Britain? Lynn & Becker (2019) national IQ dataset shows that people in Eritrea have an average IQ of 69. People in Sudan have an IQ of around 77. The average IQ in Britain is around 100. Why is this Labour government pushing for safe and legal routes to bring low IQ migrants into Britain?

No he is not. Farage, finally, is being treated as a politician rather than a cheeky chappy commentator. He got away with so much for so long he thought he could do anything for ever. The main problem for him is that nobody thinks anyone ever gives a politician five million quid for nothing. His excuses have made it worse. And however hard Jenrick protests you just need to scroll through posts of Reform senior figures since Ann Widdecombe’s murder to see they have indeed been seeking to exploit it both to shift the narrative/avoid continuing questions over the money, and to claim they are treated unfairly by “the establishment” (basically anyone who isn’t a Farage fan) They would be wise to let the police do their job without making it harder than it already is.

The perpetuating myth that Farage is a 'man of the people' has long been one that foxed me. Because, let's be honest, Nigel Farage is as much of a 'man of the people' as I am an Olympic gymnast. From Commodities trader and fully paid up Thatcherite Conservative in the 80s and 90s — to multimillionaire gold elevator dweller, Farage has never seen himself or acted like a 'man of the people'. Brexit made him a millionaire several times over, and he's been dining out on it ever since. We can see a great deal of his earnings now as he is forced to declare them in his MPs Register of Interests, but many are still squirrelled away from the public eye. Such as his commercial fishing trawler and, up to, seven houses bought with cash. These are dealt with through his company Thorn in the Side Ltd. but there is more income he's hiding. We only know about the bonus £5M because of a leak to the Guardian, so what else is he covering up? A property in the Cayman Islands? Perhaps. But I digress slightly from the original point — Farage, 'man of the people', has never been accurate; it was a label he attached to himself during his UKIP days and must be amazed that the press still use it to this day. His courting of Donald Trump is the icing on top of the golden cake he baked for himself. Man of the people? No. Self constructed veneer of a wealthy grifter? Yes.

Thank you Harvey Proctor for saying what needed to be said. Ann Widdecombe was a human being, not political propaganda. The police explicitly asked people not to speculate. Farage and Reform did exactly that - publicly exploiting a horrific murder to feed their “establishment conspiracy” narrative. It is grotesque.

One other thing. It’s not just that the speculation from Reform supporters is unhelpful for the police investigation. They have specifically been told the speculation is upsetting to Ann Widdecombe’s family. And yet they are carrying on regardless.
