Nearly time to leave lesvos😭. Breeding birds like the blue rock thrush and cretzschmar's bunting singing on a wire were observed in the last couple of days and a few yellow wags that decided to stay and breed to by the looks of it😎 #lesvos

@shaneyoda82 Yes not had a red footed falcon abroad or in the UK so when I managed to keep my camera still I was sure I had one from the metochi area. Gotta get them ticks one way or another 😂

@Mark32729033 Ah, a photo of a RF Falcon that resonates with my own experience. I also had fantasies of seeing them everywhere. Photographed distantly through terrible heat haze. I share your pain my friend. But also the celebration of ticking another lifer? ✅🤔.

Was expecting to see alot of Red Footed Falcon here on lesvos. Imagined they'd be on wires all over the place😂. But not the case this time! Thankfully with the 24-3000mm lens I was able to pick this one up a mile away😊 and also ID a hobby and Eleanoras from similar😎 #lesvos

@shaneyoda82 Yes although I only seen it through the bins flying away. But was more falcon like so was 95% sure, and has to be a ✅😊

@Mark32729033 We only had one Oriole and I wasn’t able to photograph it either. Levants was a big tick though wasn’t it?

Figured I'd give the cinereous bunting another go this morning as we went up to the ipsilu monestary. Wasn't 100% sure I'd captured one but after cropping this picture I was pretty chuffed! Get in! 😊 Another bird I really wanted to see👌 #lesvos

@shaneyoda82 Cheers Shane👍. Yes same happened to us with a golden oriole in the petrified forest. 1st levante sparrowhawk id ever seen. And only golden oriole of the trip

Western Rock Nuthatches are fairly common birds on Lesvos but they are fantastic little characters that seem to always be up to something. This bird was one of a pair that gave outstanding views in the Maladia Valley.

Little owls just like busses! Wait all week for one then 2 come along at once. Must have looked in 100 huts, old buildings and dry stone walls before we seen these 2 cracking little birds 👌📸 #lesvos
