@UEF_Podcast Carrick has an advantage over other candidates because he’s already working with the players and INEOS—plus, he’s doing well. If United were in Chelsea’s current position, there’s no way he’d be given the job full-time.

📊 Carrick’s stats across two spells in charge of United: Matches: 15 Wins: 10 Draws: 3 Losses: 2 Win percentage: 67% (Best record of any manager in our history) With 5 games remaining this season, he will manage 20 games as United Boss. 💭 Is 20 games not enough to make a call on his future especially if he qualifies us for the UCL ? 🤔

Two reasons why Carrick should not be our next manager. 1. Carrick is not battle-hardened. Simple. He hasn’t faced the kind of pressure that comes with leading an elite club. Managing in the Championship is one thing, walking into Old Trafford with UCL expectations is something else entirely. His time there wasn’t dominant, wasn’t defining, and certainly doesn’t prove he can go toe-to-toe with Europe’s best. Right now, he’s still learning. United is not a classroom. 2. The structure above him won’t protect him. INEOS and the Glazers are reactive, not patient. An inexperienced manager will make mistakes, that’s part of growth. But at United, mistakes get magnified, fans turn quickly, and the pressure becomes unbearable. He won’t be given the runway to learn on the job. An experienced manager buys you time. Fans hold their nerve because there’s a track record, there’s proof of recovery in tough moments. Carrick doesn’t have that yet. And here’s the key difference. Experienced managers can survive without perfect backing. They adapt, they manage chaos, they still compete. A young manager needs structure, needs support, needs time. Three things United rarely offers. Hiring Carrick right now isn’t a bold move. It’s a gamble, and not the smart kind.

WORST CASE SCENARIO WITH CARRICK AS PERMANENT MANAGER • Lack of discipline. • Loosing the dressing room. • Sacked after 4 months into the job. • Years of wasted funds on buying players only to being a top 4 team and qualifying for champions league without any trophy. • Ole 2.0 • United regressing backwards. These are the worst case scenario that could happen under Michael Carrick.

@Idamu_Omo_Ibo @ManUtd The big question is does Luis Enrique want to come ? And are mufc ready to give him like PSG doing? INEOS will only appoint person who's ready to align their strategies.

Even if Carrick wins the remaining matches, he shouldn't be given the permanent role to manage this team. Luis Enrique is a proven manager. He has the track record of building winning teams. Get him in and give him whatever he wants even if that includes selling fan favorite players. Carrick has done the best he could which is steadying the ship. He won't lead us to the promise land.

@adewale6567 I can't even remember which match Utd played well under Amorim even on the day they won. Put bias down and talk straight.

@giddy_fx Give everyone the evidence Carrick can't control players power. Each manager has their own style and personality. His personality looks soft but you never know what happen between him and players behind the scene. As long as he can run the result , his job is done.

🚨Michael Carrick is a soft guy who doesn’t have the ability to keep player power in check. Unlike Ruben Amorim, Michael Carrick lacks that discipline and standards. The freedom he’s giving these players would be abused in the nearest future. Ruben Amorim made sure he abolished player power and drove away the players he knew would exhibit noncompliance later on. A lot of Manchester United fans want Carrick in but I’m betting you now that y’all would be the same set of players to call for his sacking in no time. Michael Carrick has done great at Manchester United but giving him the permanent job shouldn’t even be discussed because he’s not the profile we need. ‼️ He’s not better than Ruben Amorim and we need someone better than Ruben Amorim.‼️

@UnitedStandMUFC If Utd officially get UCL ticket, Carrick will definitely be given job. It means he's currently 80% a new Utd head coach. I'm personally not a Carrick fan. But this's base on fact. I don't think INEOS want to restart everything again with new head coach in the late of summer.

@RioMeets @ManUtd @rioferdy5 If Carrick finishes season with kind of this table, it's unfair and ruthless if he is not given job. I'm sure Utd fans would suffer like they were in Amorim era again with new head coach who doesn't know truely Utd.

@markgoldbridge Because Hargreaves understands club's circumstances. Utd are targeting to play in UCL next season. With the limited tool Carrick has, entertainment football is not priority but top 4.

@FabrizioRomano If UCL ticket is guaranteed officially. Making him permanent role is sensible. As he reaches top target and save the season.

So Chelsea basically need Villa to drop to 5th and win the Europa League for 6th place to get UCL next season.
