The move comes as health officials race to contain a growing Ebola outbreak tied to the rare Bundibugyo strain, a variant with no approved vaccine or treatment. Another U.S. doctor infected during the outbreak was flown to Germany for care after developing symptoms while working in Congo. The WHO has already declared the outbreak a global health emergency.
