Breaking: The Supreme Court has just issued a ruling siding with Trump to bring back “gay conversion therapy.” This practice involves physically abusing teenagers to try to turn them heterosexual, including with electric shocks and chemically-induced nausea.

How these people don't just die from embarrassment is beyond me.

I haven't watched the Oscars in a few year but, tonight watching Barbra sing "The Way We Were" in honor of Redford choked me up quite a bit.

A little bit of research would have helped you. Let me educate you. 1st, Obama did not actually have a functional 60-vote Senate majority. Dems briefly hit 60 seats in the Senate in 2009, but only for a very short window & under unusual circumstances. The 60th vote depended on Al Franken, whose seat from MN wasn’t certified until July 2009 after an 8-month recount & legal fight. That “60th vote” disappeared almost immediately when Ted Kennedy died in Aug 2009. His replacement, Paul Kirk, only served temporarily until Repubs won the seat with Scott Brown in the 2010 special election. In total, Dems had a true 60-vote, filibuster-proof Senate for only a little over two months, & during that time several Dem senators were frequently absent due to illness (including Kennedy) or were conservative holdouts like Joe Lieberman & Ben Nelson who forced major compromises. So the claim that Dems had some long-lasting, unified 60-seat supermajority and “did nothing with it” just doesn’t match the historical record.

Obama has a 60 seat Senate Majority and a +70 House seat majority. Despite that he passed nearly nothing. He caved on his biggest progressive policies and then bailed out the Bankers. Republicans can reshape our society w/ 50%+1. Democrats can't do anything w/ supermajorities.

@StellaParton FYI - they dragged Hillary Clinton in to testify before Congress when she was the sitting First Lady so, there is precedent.

Melania Trump must be subpoenaed to testify before Congress and her husband must be right subpoenaed as well! If we can drag an ex President and First Lady into hearings, these two must do the same. Of course, Melania will need an interpreter!
