Sometimes as a very pro-gun person I wonder if the anti-gun people realize that at least some of the reason I, and probably many other gun owners, carry is for more then just our safety. Its for yours too. Your kids safety. That old lady you pass in the store. Its not a weird power trip or trying to feel like youre the main character. Its simply accepting that if a whack job comes into that store and wants to gun down old lady Abigail and her grandkids for no reason. Then I'm going to step in and put my life on the line to put a 9mm round through his skull before he can harm an innocent person. Or more likely a nice three shot grouping center of mass, w/e. If that sounds crazy to you that a stranger would be willing to protect you from harm with the weapon they carry, then maybe you're the one who needs to look at how you view life and other people. Maybe I'm just an idealist, but that is something I accepted when I got my CCL and when I carry everyday. My own safety and the safety of my family is the primary reason and the most important, dont get me wrong. But the next one down the rung is protecting those around me from harm if the need arises. For my fellow gun bros and gals what are your thoughts on this?
