You've just fired up a brand new Macbook. What is the first setting you change?

@mikaela__caron I don’t think total number of requests would be a problem with this one but the requests don’t persist between launches which might be. If you want to use a custom backend you’ll probably need to implement your own queue system. I guess you could serialise your url requests.

@MarkBridgesApps Thanks Mark! Think of a notes app, but syncing to a custom backend (not using Firebase or anything else) Also can this API handle lots of requests and being offline for long periods of time (hours or possibly days)

When sending network requests in your iOS app, how would you "queue" requests in case the user isn't connected to the network? and be able to send them once the network connection is restored The app will frequently be on / offline and should still function pretty much the same

@olivercampbell If implementing Twitter blue was a test of who’s good and who’s not are we assuming that all the employees worked on it? If not are we saying that all the employees who did were fired for failing to deliver it inline with the original schedule?

@krzyzanowskim Wow. I knew it was low but I didn’t know it was that low. I’ve got 16 on there. So I’ve contributed a whole month’s worth over the years.

Off 2.20 is out now. It includes improved status summaries, showing an estimate of how much electricity your computer has used in a month. It also makes it simpler to share access to your computer with someone else with the new share link feature. apps.apple.com/us/app/off-rem…

@saurabhg I use them all the time. They’re good for properties on a programmatically created view controller; since the view controller can be created prior to the view. They’re also good for whenever you need to create an object that l needs to be instantiated with another object on self.

Has anyone found a good use for lazy variables in Swift? They seem like just some 'nice to haves' but have almost no real world good use case.

@_bycyril First one shows your computer’s power status; locked, off, sleep etc. the second one shows your computer’s battery level.
