Personally, I think its better for Democrats to have a 14D-3R with a degree of certainty, as opposed to a 15D-2R map that could go to 10D-7R in a bad year.

This was the Illinois 15D-2R congressional map pushed in 2022 during redistricting. As @Uncrewed noted, it held in 2024 with 15 districts voting Democratic. Still, this would be a tough map for Democrats to defend in a midterm.
