Liberal gun laws are working so well in Toronto (sarcasm). Guns aren't the problem. People are the problem. Seriously. This is why I laugh at anyone who says "diversity is our strength". It's not. It goes against 250,000 years of biological evolution. Human brains evolved to allow us to functions well in small social groups, not multicultural cities of millions. Evolution operates through natural selection, favoring traits that enhance survival and reproduction within specific environments, not through an inherent valuing of diversity for its own sake. Human interactions, shaped by evolved instincts like kin preference, prioritize similarity and familiarity over differences. It's just biology. Many studies show that cooperation and trust tend to flourish most within groups sharing common traits, values, or ancestry, as these reduce conflict and enhance group cohesion. Forcing diverse populations together without accounting for these ingrained tendencies in our lizard brain is straining social bonds rather than strengthen them, which is making us weaker not stronger. I guess in a sense, nature is evolving, and the weaker Canadian is being replaced by stronger cultures.
