Uncertainty as to the real effectiveness of the new attacking three (especially as one currently looks fatter than me). Disastrous goalkeeping options. A worrying lack of legs in midfield. A one trick, serial loser of a manager. It was obvious the mess at United was going…

Agreed. Is Carrick right for the job long term? I’ve no idea. But he’s doing something with the team that other supposedly top managers have struggled with, and that’s win games. Plus in doing so has played some decent football. Is it a gamble. Most likely. Like any manager!

You know what’s funny about watching a De Gea saves comp? If you replace De Gea with ANY OTHER keeper, the commentator says “you can’t fault the goalkeeper there, no-one stops those” as the ball flies into the net. That’s how good a shot stopper he

🚨 Rio Ferdinand: “People hype Raya, I just laugh. I watched De Gea stop a Suarez point-blank volley. That’s not goalkeeping, that’s sorcery. Reflexes, positioning, madness. Put De Gea in Arsenal & he’s collecting Ballon d’Or votes, not sympathy tweets.”

I’m not saying what Jim did was right or he didn’t deserve the warning but once again the dual problems of prioritisation and overreach seem to have reared their ugly heads. But hey, it’s a nice distraction from dealing with bigger issues, hence the government weighed in! 2/2

Imagine a sporting body being more concerned as to statements, made in regard to UK politics, bringing the game into disrepute, than they are a team allegedly cheating in the same game?!?!? 1/2

32 years ago today Manchester United are 2-0 up and slowly winding down the clock at Selhurst Park. Then Denis Irwin decides he’s had enough of all this time-wasting bollocks...

Before you disrespect De Gea and compare him to Raya, keep in mind that he won the Premier League with Manchester United.

Amorim and Carrick were given two very different responsibilities. Amorim was appointed to rebuild Manchester United from the ground up, to establish a new identity, culture, mentality, and style of play as part of a long-term project. That was never going to be an easy task, especially with the amount of structural and behavioral issues within the squad. Carrick, on the other hand, was brought in as a caretaker, tasked with steadying the ship for six months. If Carrick had been asked to do what Amorim did; clearing out deadwood and confronting poor attitudes from players like Rashford, Garnacho, Højlund, Antony, and others ;he would have faced the same backlash Amorim received. Much of the hostility toward Amorim wasn’t about results alone, but about clashes with fan favourites and his willingness to move certain players on. That, more than anything else, fueled the hate. Carrick is doing a solid job as caretaker, but it’s important to be honest: he would likely have struggled if he were responsible for laying the long-term foundations of the rebuild. What he’s benefiting from now is the groundwork already put in place by Amorim and his coaching staff. You can see it in the improved set-piece structure, Bruno playing with more discipline, and the growing chemistry between the attacking players, the connections between Bruno, Cunha, Mbeumo, and wing-back Amad didn’t appear overnight. Carrick is building on an existing foundation, and to his credit, he’s doing that well so far. ❤️🫱🏻‍🫲🏽

Can’t believe Carrick hasn’t switched to a back seven as soon as Spurs went down to ten! He clearly has no idea what he’s doing!!!
