@shenarc86 I think that I read somewhere during the season that the FA wants step 5 leagues to be made up of 18 teams. I prefer 20 team leagues but a lot of pitches at that level struggle, especially if there is a ground share in place.

SCEFLP is now down to 18 clubs due to the demise of VCD Athletic. Only 17 home games for each club so there will be little need for midweek league fixtures apart from rearranged games due to cup runs and the inevitable weather postponements later in the season.

What I miss in football: ~ FA Cup Final being a national event ~ Home International Championships ~ FA Cup multiple replays ~ Teams like Forest, Derby, Ipswich & QPR having a chance of winning the title ~ Huge heaving terraces ~ Proper wingers ~ Proper tackles ~ Maverick players

@DanCarter_25 Hopefully young players stay away from the likes of you. I know someone who was found over a park, never played for anyone & is now playing National League South. Diamonds are out there, just got to give someone a chance. Lots of shite out there but played for Academy in the day

@StevenB63329955 @SCEFLeague I thought that the Kent FA wanted a twenty team league. I agree that nobody wants an odd number.

@MarkDoigFC @SCEFLeague If Stansfeld had been spared, not too many people would have complained. They fought to the end last season and produced results they justified their inclusion. 18 teams will lesson fixture pile-up. No one likes having no-game on the first day of the season in a 19 team league.

Signing players purely off stats can be like buying a Ferrari. Looks amazing on paper and great when someone else is driving it, but means nothing if you can’t fit in it. Stats are like bikinis — they show a lot, but not everything. Show me a full match highlight instead.

@DutchBKate What is a shoe in?. The way that he finished in the Ashes series means that he deserves a chance. However, I would have preferred him to have played a few first class games in England rather than hit out or get out abroad.

Why is Jacob Bethell a shoe in or "established" in the Test squad? Is it just because he scored a fabulous 154 in the last innings of Test cricket that England played & everyone has short memories? He averages less than 10 in the 1st innings in his Test career.

Thank you @Se_Railway for today’s shambles. The board at Albany Park stated that the 10:15 to London was cancelled. It then turned up! Then it sat outside Lewisham meaning that I missed my connection to Lower Sydenham and the next one is delayed.
