Good luck to them. Our legislation will mean they’ll lose their jobs and their employer pensions if they do this. And save the taxpayer huge sums in redundancy pay! Everyone wins!

Moments after court adjourned, Sall Grover ran to her dad and started sobbing into his shoulder. The law is very clear: discrimination against trans women is not acceptable. Thanks to all involved for reaffirming this in such a powerful way. #TickleVGiggle

“What kind of a depraved monster slices off a woman’s breast while she is being gang raped, and throws it into the dust to be used as a plaything? What kind of a twisted pervert turns rape into necrophilia by shooting a woman in the head while he is still defiling her? What kind of ‘freedom fighters’ go into battle with a set of handy Arabic-to-Hebrew phrases, including ‘take off your pants’, ‘lie down’, and ‘spread your legs’? What self-respecting human being presses nails, scalpels, a hammer, an axe, screwdrivers and other household tools into a woman’s genitals? How hard do you have to rape someone, and with what, to shatter their pelvis? Who shoots a young girl in the face and then films her mutilated corpse on her brother’s mobile phone? The answer is: Hamas terrorists. This is the stark reality of what they did to men, women and children on October 7, 2023. And the world must never forget.” @WestminsterWAG

I have written to Mark Rowley, the Met Police Commissioner, urging him to retract his baseless claims about our demonstrations for Palestine. Our marches are made of people of all faiths and none — and we will never stop campaigning until Palestine is free.

As Restore Britain Spokeswoman for Women and Girls, I would like to say this to Jess and Alex - you are both an absolute disgrace to womankind. You have spent 2 years in ministerial roles where your entire responsibility was to protect the Women and Girls of this country. You failed in such a catastrophic manner that it went beyond incompetence, and became sheer indifference. I personally wrote to you both on several occasions, you ignored me. I know parents of murdered girls who wrote to you, you ignored them. Mothers and Grandmothers protested and begged you both alongside your utterly useless colleagues @Keir_Starmer and @ShabanaMahmood to stop strange men entering our country on a daily basis to prey on our most vulnerable citizens, also ignored. You voted against a rape gang inquiry when you both knew what horrific crimes Pakistani Muslim Men had done to THOUSANDS of little British girls, instead you choose votes and a pay-check over integrity, empathy and honesty. I sincerely hope that neither of you are let anywhere near a position of authority again. The children of this country deserve so much better than you and your disgusting, shameful excuse of a government. Spare us the disingenuous resignation letters, Starmer is useless and a traitor yes but you are both equally as corrupt, incompetent and complicit in your party’s failures as he. You are now merely saving yourselves from the bloodbath that is unfolding.. that says it all.. saving yourselves where you failed to save thousands of victims. Shame on you. @AlexDaviesJones @jessphillips @RestoreBritain_ @officialsammyuk @RupertLowe10

I just voted for three fantastic independent candidates in Finsbury Park who oppose austerity, stand up to racism and support the people of Palestine. Today, a new kind of politics is on the ballot — and community power will win!

Profound words from @POTUS this morning: "Long before Americans had a nation or a Constitution, we first had a culture, a character, and a creed. Before we ever proclaimed our Independence, Americans carried within us the rarest of gifts — moral courage — and it came from a small but mighty kingdom across the sea. For nearly two centuries before the Revolution, this land was settled and forged by men, women who bore in their souls the blood and noble spirit of the British. Here, on a wild and untamed continent, they set loose the ancient English love of liberty and Great Britain's distinctive sense of glory, destiny, and pride — and that's what it is, glory, destiny, and pride. The American Patriots who pledged their lives to Independence in 1776 were the heirs to this majestic inheritance. Their veins ran with Anglo-Saxon courage. Their hearts beat with an English faith in standing firm for what is right, good, and true. In recent years we have often heard it said that America is merely 'an idea' — but the cause of freedom did not simply appear as an intellectual invention of 1776. The American founding was the culmination of hundreds of years of thought, struggle, sweat, blood, and sacrifice on both sides of the Atlantic. Fate drew a long arc from the meadow at Runnymede to the streets of Philadelphia that ran through the lives of people born and bred on the British code that 'no man should be denied either justice or right.' American Patriots today can sing 'My Country 'Tis of Thee, Sweet Land of Liberty' only because our colonial ancestors first sang 'God Save the King.'"

.@POTUS: "Honoring the British King might seem an ironic beginning to our celebration of 250 years of American independence — but in fact, no tribute could be more appropriate. Long before Americans had a nation or Constitution, we first had a culture, a character, and a creed. Before we ever proclaimed our independence, Americans carried within us the rarest of gifts: moral courage, and it came from a small but mighty kingdom from across the sea."

St George’s flag stands for unity over hatred and decency over division. Those are the values I will always fight for. Some try to hijack our flag to spread hate, I reject their plastic patriotism. mirror.co.uk/news/politics/…
