What happened in Minnesota is shameful. Don Lemon and others terrorized a local church during a worship service! Even worse, some on the left somehow think it was acceptable or even courageous! Let me be clear: it’s not. As someone who’s spent years behind the pulpit, I can tell you there is nothing sacred about barging into a church to make a political point. Our houses of worship should be off-limits to intimidation and harassment. If this had happened in a mosque or synagogue, the outrage would be immediate. But because it was a Christian church, many in the media look the other way. That double standard should concern every American who cares about religious freedom. Faith communities deserve respect. Beth and I are praying for her children, family, and friends during this heartbreaking time. May the Lord comfort them and give them peace that passes all understanding. Life is fragile, and moments like this remind us that our calling to love one another goes far beyond politics.

Today, I filed an amendment to the House minibus spending bill that will defund any earmarks directing taxpayer money to abortion providers or facilities pushing ‘gender-affirming care’ on children. We cannot continue forcing American families to subsidize procedures and ideologies that harm our kids. Congress has no business rewarding these entities with your hard-earned dollars. Full stop. Let’s protect innocence, stop the abuse of taxpayer funds, and put America First. Who’s with me?
