@LouStagner Correction. Both would be the same course handicap as the 0.0 negates (slope/113) and it is just (Course rating - Par). Got to be Player 1 reps at 100-130 yds vs Player 2 at 165yds in

@LouStagner Lou. Love this. Player 1 115y in on Par 4s 6100 y Player 2 165y in on Par 4s At 6600y, about 135y (not much different than 115y). My guess is Player 1 is more practiced at this range vs Player 2. Player 1 get strokes from course handicap at 6600

@Top100Rick Got to admit, if they were fully satisfied with schedule, purses, likeliness etc -money wouldn’t have swayed them. Ownership in the thing you are now part of is what they wanted…independent contractors under a dictatorship (PGA). Search YouTube and find me a PGA Tour w a channel

All of that is irrelevant. The players didn’t leave because they were unhappy lol. They were spoiled beyond belief. They left because they got offered boatloads of oil blood money. Simple as that. It would have never happened without that. Now, the Tour could have joined forces with Saudi, yes. But at that time it was unthinkable, the backlash would have been crazy.

LIV vs. PGA Tour perfect comparison today. (Not a LIV hate post) LIV fans, do you really like the shotgun? Due to the shotgun, we have Patrick Reed in the lead on hole 16…but Kozuma is on hole 1 also in the lead! The winner of the event may be decided on hole 2 or 3 with no fans! Also, the context is all lost. With guys finishing on different holes, it’s impossible to contextualize the finish. Who remembers what hole 2 is like? Now the benefit to the Shotgun? Well in theory you have madness. With everyone finishing at the same time, the chaos should be fun. IMO, the lost context and guys finishing potentially winning on holes with no fans vastly outweighs the gains. If you prefer this finish, all power to you. I’ve said this for a long time. LIV’s shotgun works fine for the first 2 rounds. But on Sunday, it should be traditional.

IMO different is awful in this case. LIV can do these tiny fields because they poached a bunch of guys from the Tour. Where will future stars come from without full fields? Imagine if baseball got rid of half the teams. Is that good? Nobody needs to attend a 12 hour day at the course, they go for the players they want to see.
