Probably a waste of time but if you have a top single word .ai domain I'll buy it for up to $25k and send payment today. Before commenting, go to DotDB.com and type in the keyword. If the count is less than 180 don't bother.

This is how easy it is to earn $60K a year investing in domains ⬇️ Following up on my previous post... A few people asked how much capital you'd actually need to become a full-time domain investor. So I ran the numbers. Assumptions: • Average acquisition cost: $25/domain • Average sale price: $2,495 • Annual STR: 2% • Marketplace fees: 25% • Annual renewals: $11/domain If your goal is to earn $5,000/month ($60,000/year), you'd need approximately: - 2,350 domains - $59,000 in up-front capital At a 2% STR, you'd sell around 47 domains per year. After marketplace fees, annual renewal costs and replacing the domains you sold to keep your portfolio at the same size, you'd be left with roughly $60,000/year before taxes. So yes... domain investing can absolutely become a full-time business. And it actually is pretty "easy". Just buy good domains (a skill you can learn) and list them on marketplaces like Afternic, Spaceship, etc. That's basically it. Just don't underestimate how much capital it usually takes to get there. Disclosure: This is a simplified model. It assumes you can acquire ~2,350 quality domains at an average cost of $25 each (which may be optimistic), achieve a 2% annual STR with an average sale price of $2,495, pay only 25% in marketplace fees (which is probably on the low side for many investors), and that the initial $59,000 comes from your own capital - not borrowed money that needs to be repaid.

In the last couple of weeks, I’ve been getting this question (in different forms) in my DMs: “How do I become a full-time domain investor?” Here’s my honest answer… You probably don’t. At least not unless you have a significant amount of capital to invest and plenty of time to build a solid portfolio. The truth is that buying good domains at auction and eventually selling them for a healthy ROI isn’t that difficult. I’m not saying anyone can become a successful domain investor overnight. But it’s not rocket science either. The real challenge isn’t knowing what to buy. It’s having enough capital to build a portfolio large enough that sales start happening with some regularity. And if you don’t have the capital, you’ll need another resource instead: time. A lot of time. Time and patience. But don’t just take my word for it. Let’s do the math. Let’s say you want to become a full-time domain investor and you’ve set aside $5,000 to buy domains. You find 200 decent names at $25 each and buy them all. That’s your entire budget invested. Now let’s say you price each domain at $2,495. And let’s assume you’ve done an excellent job selecting names, giving you an annual sell-through rate (STR) of 2%. That’s actually a very respectable STR for most investors. With 200 domains and a 2% STR, you’d sell about four domains in your first year. At $2,495 each, that’s roughly $10,000 in sales. After marketplace commissions of around 25%, you’d be left with approximately $7,500. But remember - you also spent $5,000 acquiring those domains. That leaves you with a net profit of roughly $2,500 for the entire first year. That’s just over $200 per month. I don’t know what your monthly living expenses are, but I’m guessing they’re higher than $200. And remember… You also need to reinvest part of those profits into new domains to keep growing your portfolio. So your actual take-home income is even lower. My point is simple: If you don’t have a meaningful amount of capital and several years to build your portfolio, don’t set your expectations unrealistically high. That said, you absolutely don’t have to be a full-time investor to enjoy this industry. Invest what you’re comfortable investing. Make a little money here and there. Learn. Build. Grow. And most importantly… Have fun. I wish you the very best of luck. 🍀

@MarkMetric @Yibecoder @talkwithgt What? 1 Cr horseshit? Depending on where you live in USA that is a good income. Midwest $105k is solid. Similar or $125k in Texas depending on where and $175k in east coast and $200k in Silicon Valley. In India 1Cr is 0.05% bracket. Top.🤔

Genuine question guys, what do you all think? If I'm earning 1 crore a year, I end up paying almost 40 lakhs taxes to our government. But I don't use any government hospitals, schools, or other facilities. Now imagine I suddenly lose my job, and my income drops to zero. What will our government actually do for me then? What did I get in return for all that tax I paid?
