Apparently @Sally_Latham_ and I authored the top trending paper in #philosophy this week! In it, we buck popular opinion & argue it's bad to think of your life as a narrative. It's short and open access! Read it here: link.springer.com/article/10.100… @OU_Philosophy @OU_GCSJ @OU_FASS

Trending in #Philosophy: ooir.org/index.php?fiel… 1) Is it Good to Conceive of One’s Life Narratively? (@SayWhatSOPHIA) 2) A Bilingual English-Massachusett Logic Textbook 3) Food desert as a sociospatial–legal instrument (@HGJournal) 4) Epistemology of groups (@ejp_journal)

Really excited to be part of this project led by @JaneGatley and Christian Norefalk. It's great to see a project investigating the role conceptual engineering methodology might play in a specific field - one that, as Jane has argued, may be particularly suited to it.

Hmm my methods in philosophy course isn't gonna get off the ground if I can't think of anything to do after lecture 1 on making things up.

@Sally_Latham_ Harsh but fair reviews are often written in response to good work. The key thing, really, is to (try to!) reflect constructively on what you can do to improve a piece of work.

@Sally_Latham_ Yes. Most papers are rejected, and most rejections are brutal. Let me know if you want to discuss.

@AnneliJefferson @KimptonNye One reason is CE-ers seem to focus on Haslanger-style projects, which are presented as "Change semantic meanings for social justice!" (I also have a paper on that.) I think critics are more concerned by your worry. Max Deutsch gets close to it in recent work.
