@WilliamWho27 The kiddy campy episodes like Space babies and Devils chord definitely need to go. They don’t align with today’s audience. I think it should be more like X Files actually for a time - an Earthbound Dr & companion exploring mysterious goings on on modern Earth

We probably do not realise how difficult it may be for the BBC to get Doctor Who a new audience. Ideally you aim the show at new families/kids who have never watched before, to recreate 2005. But sadly less kids especially are now watching TV. It’s a challenging environment.

Listened to The Daleks: Master Plan: Golden Death, Escape Switch, The Abandoned Planet last night. Hartnell still had a croaky throat in Golden Death. He clearly enjoys Spooner scripts. His disappearance is so odd in Abandoned Planet. Selation has a very annoying voice_SSSS.

A tiny minority of LGBT+ asylum claims are bogus. Nearly all are genuine Fake LGBT+ claims by straight people must be stopped They undermine public trust in the asylum system & make it harder for genuine LGBT+ refugees to be taken seriously

@adejacobsdj @LRoundels I think it was more an attempt to copy Neighbours’ new jazzy theme which had debuted the year before on Uk screens.

@LRoundels I adore this version. I think it was meant to show how the East End of London was changing with the arrival of The Docklands Development and they 'Yuppy'.

I liked this theme arrangement at the time (I still like it) but there's no denying it's so not appropriate for the misery that follows😎
