Hey, @grok, who was the most famous person to visit my profile? It doesn't need to be a mutual, don't tag them, just say who it was

@PabloINik @ASMicrobiology Congrats, a much deserved and well-earned honor!!

Honored to be elected as Fellow of the #American Academy of #Microbiology! This recognition reflects the incredible work of my past and present collaborators, students, and mentors. Deep gratitude to my nominators and the microbiology community for their support! @ASMicrobiology

@flanagella No acknowledgement needed, all good. Happy to chat anytime, always interested to see what's going on with the project.
English

@MarkSilby Thanks @MarkSilby! Apologies, I should have acknowledged you for providing all the strains that made this work possible! Would be cool to get your input on these results sometime 😊
English

If anyone wants to talk about convergent regulatory evolution in Pseudomonas, come talk to me at my poster this afternoon at #microbio24 at B101! (Or try zooming in on this slightly blurry photo and read it now!) @m

@KatrinaVelle They're lucky to have you! You'll be awesome! Good luck!

@markowenmartin @univpugetsound @ASMicrobiology Never tried to do anything like that. I would imagine a disc impregnated in some kind of ferrous solution might make them shutdown siderophore production. But I don't know how long the siderophores already secreted would hang around for.
English

@MarkSilby @univpugetsound @ASMicrobiology Mark, is there a quick way to see if these microbes are iron dependent? Like a drop of something on the plate and see if the fluorescence goes way? They are usually Pseudomonas...
English

Serious question: when I get UV fluorescent colonies in a water bottle, is it truly due to siderophores? I would like to think that the water bottle is iron deficient... @univpugetsound @ASMicrobiology

@HelenClarkNZ Merry Christmas, PM Clark. Thank you for all you continue to do for our world. I hope the new year brings you happiness and success.
English

Best wishes to all who celebrate Xmas. We live in turbulent times: many are in very difficult circumstances, whether that be because of illness, poverty, loneliness, war and conflict, or any of a myriad of challenges. Let us think of them all at this time

Day 1 of #IcelandTrip2023. @swirlgirl31415 and yours truly recovered from jet lag and went on a food tour. It was very interesting.

@markowenmartin Come tinker in my lab if you are spending time in the Northeast!
English

Hey @peacock, why aren't you showing the Capetown rugby sevens live today? And why are there no replays of the pool matches available??
English

@L_M_Smith @royalsocietynz @MarsdenFund @otago @microtago @AzeredoLab That's fantastic, congrats Leah!

Stoked to have been awarded a @royalsocietynz @MarsdenFund Fast Start grant to kick start my own research @otago @microtago investigating phage infection of dormant bacteria and the implications for #phage / #biofilm interactions 🧬 🧫 👩🏻🔬 🙏 w/@AzeredoLab #WomenInSTEM #ECR
