So today ReformUK platformed an antivaccine conspiracy theorist, a lady who pled guilty to inciting people to burn down a migrant hotel, had an elected mayor butcher the national anthem, and whose leader wants sanctions imposed on his own country. Indeed, the party of patriotism.

Destroying the homes, schools and hospitals of 2 million people whilst killing thousands of children cannot possibly be a proportionate means of destroying the infrastructure of a terrorist organisation. Dangerously close to a “the ends justify any means” school of thought.

1. Hamas actions in Israel are cowardly and reprehensible. They deserve to be held to account. 2. The Palestinian people are not Hamas. The people in Gaza are subjugated by them. Cutting off electricity, water and food supplies to Gaza is inhumane. 3. Both 1 and 2 can be true.
