With widespread support from my peers and members, and the experience I have gained from holding different positions within the Union, I know I can deliver for our members on the issues that matter to them. Local strength - National impact. I have a proven record of organising, supporting , and fighting for FBU members at a local and regional level. By mobilising members and leading campaigns I have safeguarded our service and empowered our members. My hands-on experience at the local level has equipped me with the skills and insights needed to represent our interests on a national scale. I understand the challenges we face, and I am committed to championing our rights as firefighters, both on appliances and in control rooms, and union members more broadly. Yesterday, members and reps from @FBUEastMidlands went in to parliament to demand from their MPs greater funding for their fire services. Thanks to the MPs that listened. We now need action. Standards have dropped, they need to be raised and met with the funding required.
