International embarassment.

Solidarity in action. The UK has granted 50 visas to the Ukrainian refugees while the Poles have welcomed 1,2 million of Ukrainians in two weeks. “We are generous as we possibly can, we are very, very generous” says Boris Johnson.🤦

UK Govt has issued 50 visas. Across the UK people are offering their homes and support but as usual this Govt are failing to step up.

There is something else. On French tv there are stories of people helping; taking families in, providing, organising kids’ football games - and you see the joy in giving, sharing; the release of anxiety - gratitude for what we still have. HMG deprives us of this dignity & spirit.
