Hampshire's Knox Homola won the 285-pound title at the Class 3A Barrington Sectional on Saturday, with dad Robert Homola stepping in as a coach. The Whips had three state qualifiers, while Huntley, McHenry and Dundee-Crown also qualified wrestlers.
Hampshire: Knox Homola (285) advances to state as the sectional champion. Michael Brannigan (157) and Luthor Rajcevich (106) also advance to state with 3rd and 4th finishes respectively.
I'm at Barrington for the Class 3A Boys Wrestling Sectional today.
Shaw Media area teams present are Dundee-Crown, DeKalb, Hampshire, Huntley, Jacobs, and McHenry.
