@Malwarebytes really proved its worth when I dealt with a nasty Trojan that other products didn't have a clue about. I find it kind of cute that Malwarebytes Browser Guard even blocks tracking on their own website.

Scams are everywhere and they are only getting harder to spot. Even experienced internet users can find themselves second guessing a suspicious text, link, or message. That is exactly why I am excited to share that Malwarebytes is now available right inside ChatGPT.
Malwarebytes@Malwarebytes

Scams happen in conversations. Now protection does too. Malwarebytes is now available as a ChatGPT app. After connecting the app, just ask @Malwarebytes to check suspicious links, emails, domains, phone numbers, and more to make spotting scams easier than ever.

@BingIsBackBaby @Malwarebytes @mkleczynski Appreciate the feedback. Are you using the same location every time or are you seeing the same speeds across multiple servers? Notes on the UX feedback. Thanks for sharing

@Mark_Beare @Malwarebytes @mkleczynski MWB 5. You can't *favourite* sites/cities. I can't leave it on all the time as many sites recognise is as a VPN. Speeds are muddled, sometimes a 100Mbps link is only getting 20-25... I rarely use it as a result...Nord/Express leave yours for dead. Your UX team need the sack

@Malwarebytes charge a premium for their VPN but the problem is...it's utterly shit. 1. Can't favourite locations, instead long scrolls 2. Many services recognise it as VPN 3. Not all that fast What does @MKleczynski do all day? Such potential, so very useless. #CyberSecurity

@Qantas @Ari_Hunt_ Received the confirmation for one family member, yet to learn my own exposure. Also still missing context about who the third party was and what role they played. Call centre? Place that prints bag tags? Other?

Dammit @Qantas! I get the struggle between early disclosure and awaiting more actionable info, but this is just enough to be concerning and not enough to be useful. What’s the advice that’s actually being given to people here?

@troyhunt @Qantas @Ari_Hunt_ Think this relates to age of account? As in they used to ask for more information years ago and if you created your account back then there is more data leaked?

@Qantas @Ari_Hunt_ Updates just now; 5.7M people, with 4M having pretty limited data exposed. I haven’t received any personal comms yet to clarify which group of people I’m in.

Malwarebytes does not offer paid support (and most companies don't either). If you are being asked to pay for support from any company, I would exit that website and go back to the company's home page to access support x.com/RonOsbornOmaha…
Ron Osborn@RonOsbornOmaha

@Malwarebytes⁩ They want me to give them a credit card to TALK to support! 🖕dat.

@icebearx1 @Malwarebytes Sure to higher than anticipated demand for people running scans on launch day we saw some downtime. If you go and run a scan now it should work fine. Sorry!

@Malwarebytes Hi, you sent me Malwarebytes Personal Data Remover today. I carefully input my info twice and it says "Oops, something went wrong..." twice with no explanation! It doesn't work! HHAHAHAA

How do people end up in stealer logs? By doing dumb stuff like this: “Around October I downloaded a pirated version of Adobe AE and after that a trojan got into my pc”

@MeWritesGood @JamesFLoveIV We think it's important for people to understand that their information has been leaked and how it was leaked. This is why we provide this free digital footprint scan. We don't store any of the information, we remove it after the scan is done.

@JamesFLoveIV Is it odd for malwarebytes to be posting hacked data? Their whole mission is to stop hacking chicanery. Why would they promote the fruits of it?

This is a perfect example of my previous tweet: companies asking their vendors if they use Snowflake due to the risk it poses to them. Regardless of root cause, that's a *really* bad look for Snowflake. This incident will have a massively long tail.

@troyhunt I think a large number of people have used these services. It's becoming safer to assume that if people want it, they can get access to your SSN, address, driver's license and many other personal details

@troyhunt AWS is vulnerable to and has the same types of ‘breaches’ but for some reason they don’t make the headlines. Snowflake was just unlucky that the original thought was that there was a direct breach of Snowflake so every story since then has their name in the headline
