Anytime I’m outside with my grandkids and we hear the birds singing, I point to the trees and tell them they’re up there. We’ll stand and watch the ravens, cardinals, and the occasional hawk in our backyard. Walking through a cemetery with my two year old granddaughter, she flipped it on me. Asked if I could hear them, then pointed up and said, “It up here.” So glad I caught this moment on video. 🥰

True story: When I was in the first grade at Bethel Elementary in Canton, I kicked a little boy in the junk. Why? He lifted my dress up on the playground and showed my ALF underwear to the entire class. I was taken to the principal’s office, where I was informed I would be paddled after my parents were notified. Daddy showed up like a knight in shining armor. There was no paddling that day. There was a trip to McDonald’s for a Happy Meal and an ice cream cone. After school, Daddy drove to the little boy’s house—a kid he knew well. It was his best friend’s son. I sat in the truck and watched as my daddy let them both know: if I was touched again, Daddy would whoop them both. I was a six-year-old girl. I had been humiliated and sexualized in front of all of my peers. The teachers did nothing. The principal did nothing. And the boy who did it would’ve gotten away with it if I hadn’t stood up for myself. Daddy made sure my bravery was rewarded. Then he made sure that I witnessed that bad things came to those who did bad things. It was one of the most precious life lessons I’ve ever learned. 💯

Justin, a 9-year-old student, is spending his three-day school suspension working alongside his father after a playground confrontation led to a “zero-tolerance” disciplinary action. The incident began when another student allegedly cornered and attempted to punch Justin, who responded with a single defensive strike that ended the encounter instantly. While school officials suspended the boy for “handling the situation wrong,” his parents are publicly standing by his decision to protect himself, with his mother telling staff their opinion was “wrong” and his father rewarding his honesty and restraint with a steak dinner. The family’s firm stance that they “raise sheepdogs, not sheep” has sparked a massive debate across the region regarding school self-defense policies and the right of a child to stand their ground when threatened. As Justin completes his “work suspension” at home, his story is being shared as a powerful example of parental support for traditional values of self-reliance and the importance of stopping a fight once a threat is eliminated. The community is now rallying behind the family’s message, honoring a young boy who told the truth and refused to be a victim in a situation that has redefined the conversation on school safety and discipline.

Yesterday, I told a moody woman who had a huff in the shop to stop being so moody. Tip: This doesn't make anyone less moody, in fact, it does the opposite.

Been waiting on news about my uncle Steve all week. He had a stroke but the updates have been spotty because he lives in another state. Just got word this morning that he is moving and talking but having issues with his right side. Apparently he thinks he’s 38 yrs old though 😆. I’ve been praying for his recovery. 🙏🏼

youtu.be/qU7oDnBANa4?si… …from one of my favorite albums, “Whisper to the Wild Water”. I’ve long had a love of female voices singing in Gaelic. Even modern Irish or Scot lady pop singers, singing in English, have this otherworldly thing that straddles the veil between this world and the next. It’s elven. There’s something magical in the water up there in the Celtic regions.

This might sound silly. I’ve had a dash light on for the past month it didn’t mean anything the code didn’t mean anything. Usually I’d just have Paul clear it out when ever I was near his shop. But I’d always say Damnit Casper that light annoys me. Yesterday after our last ride and I dropped Casper off. As I drove down the road I happened to glance at my dash and that light was off and it’s still off.
