@BobLeeMD @olsonplanner I HATED when attendings would say that in residency. This is absolutely, unequivocally false. If being an attending is worse than being a resident, you’re doing it wrong.

Recurrence after MIS, with an untouched anterior plane, is a great scenario for open repair. Patients with a hostile preperitoneal space or abdominal cavity also may warrant open repair.
