Markham Year 1

We had a lovely visit from Sight Cymru who spoke to us about our eyes!! We learnt about how they work and how to keep them safe 👁️ 😁 @MarkhamYear2

We had fun on our “Wow Day!!” yesterday. Started off by getting our tickets for a train journey with Paddington Bear🚂 Then we reached our destination and explored our science areas in our class 🤍

We had fun sharing the love and finding out about St Dwynwen’s Day (Welsh Valentines Day) ❤️❤️

We had so much fun drawing, writing our names and exploring in the snow ❄️❄️

Nursery spent the day with Mrs Lewis, Mrs Matthews and Miss Price. A lovely day getting to know new adults and a new learning environment. See you in September!💙 #makingthemostofeveryday

We celebrated 80 years since VE Day today, with party food and party games. It’s so important that we celebrate peace and all who gave their lives for the lives we live today. #makingthemostofeveryday 💙

A fantastic start to our two week Welsh heritage topic ‘Markham’s Marvellous Medicine’. Who looks after us here in Markham and makes us better when we are poorly? We explored an ambulance and the equipment used by paramedics who help people everyday!

This week we have started our new story, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. We noticed that the giant had been on our playground!!!We came up with different ways to measure his footprints. They were even bigger than Mrs Lewis and Miss Jones’ feet!🌱🫘🦶#makingthemostofeveryday 💙

Happy Santa’s Little Helpers Day! Our mischievous elf Tinker came to visit today and left us lots of decorations for our classroom from Santa. Such a lovely day getting into the Christmas spirit with our friends and teachers!🎄🎅🏼 #makingthemostofeveryday 💙

Our Christmas trip to Poppelwood was fantastic! We played with our friends, wrote letters to Father Christmas and even met the man himself. We gave him a ho ho ho high five and sang a Christmas song together.🎄🎅🏼
