Hakstol was a place-holder while this team got it's footing. He was a great pick to be a community ambassador but it is evident that his immediate promotion to HC in Philly from NCAA was premature and he needs to be an assistant coach in the NHL before getting another HC job.

@othockeytalk 1. Was he ever the best goalie in the NHL? No. 2. Was he ever a top 5 goalie in the NHL? No. 3. The only year he's top 3 for Vezina voting is the year Jim Carey won it. 2nd place went to Osgood and third to Daren Puppa (TB). Probably the most laughable top 3 for Vezina ever.
