@ScoopLexington With 0 freshmen, I don’t see how that’s possible. We had all the glue not enough sticks. Retain as much glue as possible and use your resources on 2-3 sticks.

There are 6-7 guys who I’d like to come back but not all of them can come back together. At MOST 4 guys need to return…at MOST.

Done with the dumbasses. This offseason I’m officially calling out Kentucky fans bullshit and stupidity. We should have higher expectations here, not satisfaction with being average.

@Grayson70Ky @ScoopLexington He took them to the chip in the Covid year when every program was down and gave him 4 seasons after that. All being worse than what we have had. Give it a year or two. Let the frost shake.

@ScoopLexington With NIL, you can build quicker than ever. Don’t give me it takes 2-4 years to build a program. Programs are built in 1-2 years if you have a staff full of evaluators and recruiters -esp considering the resources UK has.UNC didn’t stand for it I see &he took them to ‘chip game

Kentucky fans are the only fans in the world that believe they are beyond the multi-year process that is building a program

@bncaudill @keithtaylor21 JMI is not a factor stop gobbling up KSR slop. If you watch the interview he said they feel good about the potential pieces they’re going after. Who knows what the amounts to, but he did address that.

He can point to numbers and the seasons prior to his arrival. What about recruiting though? Where is the progress in recruiting. That is my huge concern with Coach Pope, and I know JMI is a factor in the recruiting effort, but man. He hasn’t signed one high school prospect for next season. Definitely not the UK standard.

Pope says Cats haven't met goals, but making progress. ... "I'm not talking about meeting the standard of where we're trying to get. Clearly, we did not do that, but we are making progress in in the four years before we got here, we won one game in Nashville. In the last two years, we've won three games in Nashville, and clearly the seed hasn't been a good as good. But in the last two years, we lost to the number five and the number six team in the country to be to be put out of the SEC tournament. "In the four years previous, we lost to number nine, number 35 number 67 and number 81 to be knocked out of the SEC tournament. In the last two years, we've won three games in the NCAA Tournament. In the previous four years, we won one game total in the NCAA Tournament. That doesn't tell the whole story, but for the people that love Kentucky, they just want to know that we're making progress. Those are real hard, solid numbers that may be surprising. Go look them up. The winning percentage is higher. The NCAA Tournament success is higher. The strength of schedule is ridiculously more difficult, and all of that done in the context of having one of the most unfortunate health trends in the history of Kentucky basketball. And so in those sense, senses like we haven't met our goals, clearly, but we are making progress in that part of society. And I really bring that up because I think at times, our guys feel like, man, everybody says this is the worst it's ever been. It's not. "We're actually making positive project. We're making positive progress by the numbers and and I'm grateful for the work and the commitment of our guys, and we're going to keep going. And the thing is, we have to keep getting better and better and better as we as we grow this program to the point where we're actually hanging a banner. And this is all part of the process, and we have nothing in our offices, in our locker room besides hope and excitement for the future."

Revisionist history has completely shifted the views of many people when it comes to the ending of the John Calipari era in Lexington. Here is a clip from @mostlysports a couple years back after we fell to Oakland. It’s a rant from @clubtrillion, a former Ohio State Buckeye basketball player, and a guy who has no affiliation with Kentucky or Calipari. These are his thoughts and it’s truly what the state of the program was at the time. Two total postseason wins since 2020 with him, one in SEC tournament and one in NCAA tournament. I will forever love John Calipari, and he’ll likely forever be my favorite coach, but it was over at Kentucky. Whether you want to blame it on him, administration, others, doesn’t matter. He’s doing well at Arkansas, but his time at Kentucky was done. I just don’t get how people have forgotten what the end of his time here was like. Yes, he gave us one of the best runs in College Basketball history in his prime at Kentucky, but the ending was far below the standard in Lexington.

So I’m just curious, we not fighting. For the crowd (not just outlaw) that doesn’t want an offensive player at 12 no matter what. If these guys are gone: Arvell Sonny Reuben David Monsoor Jermod Caleb Peter Love and Tate are available Who are you taking over Love and Tate ?
Outl✭w@OutlawCowboyNFL

I absolutely won’t hear anyone out that believes taking an offensive player @ 12 or 20 isn’t a massive failure on the front office’s end. ZERO reason to even consider it, I do not care who is sitting there. You still have legit ❓ at LB, CB and EDGE. You simply can’t do it.

@ukHOOPstar33 @rarerookies Brother, the things I’ve seen said about him and BG are beyond the pale. Beyond harsh criticism on their play. And it’s been like that for the last 6 years. If I were a 5 star I wouldn’t sign up for that slander, if I were a highly touted coach I wouldn’t go near it. Fuck KSR.

@rarerookies I’m sure some idiots said things that the family saw. Not doubting that one bit. That stuff also happens everywhere bc idiots are everywhere. I’d expect that family to know that. Families are quick to blame fans & coaches when a player plays poorly though.

Multiple things are true: 1. Kentucky will NEVER lose its standard and BBN should never stop demanding it 2. The results of this season were NOT acceptable 3. Pope is going to be back, along with several returning players 4. BBN should 100% get behind them and support them

@kentuckyhoopsig BBN is such a simple fanbase. These coaches dangle "recruits" in front of you to distract you from the reality. Pope used the "Ferrari" analogy before last season and it was lapped up by all the fans. This year, "We're really excited about where we are..." You all don't learn.

Not only was this year a massive disappointment, but nothing indicates that it’ll be better next year… • Rumors that FOUR of our assistants are considering leaving • We have ZERO recruits signed for next year • Pope will have less money to work with This is bad.
